In addition to the Clubhouse, Sans Souci, Cherokee, and Crane Cottage welcome guests to experience the Landmark Historic District as part of the Jekyll Island Club. Each of the three cottages play host to unique guest rooms and create a chance to travel back in time. Explore beautifully manicured gardens and relax in intricately designed communal spaces. Sans Souci
Constructed in 1896 as a six-unit apartment building owned in part by J.P. Morgan, today Sans Souci affords its guests effortless comfort, breathtaking elegance, and sophisticated details. Its name connotes the carefree experience the members anticipated on Jekyll Island, meaning “without worry.” The building is located just across the croquet field that sits in front of the Clubhouse and features 24 Victorian style guest rooms.
Crane Cottage
Renowned for its a sunken garden, lush courtyard, and elegant fountains, Crane Cottage is considered the most lavish of all the Island Cottages. The Italian Renaissance-inspired building houses 13 recently refreshed guest rooms, intimate public spaces, such as the Crane Library and Crane Living Room, and an enchanting courtyard.
Cherokee
With its sumptuous interiors, Cherokee is cherished for its privacy and picturesque, river’s edge setting. Built in 1904 in the Italian Renaissance style, Cherokee offers 10 guest rooms and creates the ideal intimate venue for a large group, family reunion, or corporate retreat.

Guests of the Island Cottages have full access to all amenities, activities, restaurants, and bars offered at the adjacent Jekyll Island Club and at Jekyll Ocean Club. Read more about all there is to enjoy at each Jekyll Island Club destination and plan your visit.
Island Cottages Dining
Start your day with a hot breakfast at The Pantry or The Wharf. Poolside snacks and libations are found seasonally at The Pool House. Fresh lunch, dinner, and live music are served over-water at The Wharf. For a night cap and a good story, end the evening at The Bar.
Island Club Pool
The pool at the Jekyll Island Club is open year-round for swimmers and loungers alike. Lounge chairs and poolside service from The Pool House are staples at the riverside deck, which is exclusively open to guests of our resorts. If a beach day is in the cards, guests may take our complimentary shuttle to Jekyll Ocean Club where beach access, chairs, and umbrellas are just steps from the resort.
*Pool hours are dawn – dusk. Personal coolers are not allowed poolside.
