Riding Bikes By The Water.

Riverfront Lawn

  • Take a walk through the Historic District and wander over to the Riverfront Lawn adjacent to the Clubhouse. Relax under the shade of the cascading live oaks and enjoy the view of the Jekyll River.
  • Parking available behind the Jekyll Island Club. Bike racks available.

The Beach Pavilion

Take the resort shuttle and indulge in the ultimate relaxation at our Beach Pavilion, offering plenty of space to spread out, soak up the sun, and play the surf. Enjoy our snack bar offering delicious refreshments and lounge comfortably on our chairs under shady umbrellas.

Beach at Jekyll Ocean Club

  • Grab some cold drinks and head out to the beach at the Jekyll Ocean Club. Enjoy complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas while you enjoy your picnic lunch. With the sea breeze and sand between you toes, embrace island time and bask in the sunshine.
  • Parking available at the Jekyll Ocean Club. Biker racks available at public beach access point.

St. Andrews Beach

  • Drive over to the secluded St. Andrews Beach on the west side of Jekyll Island. Discovery the hidden rope swing and enjoy your lunch in their picnic area. St. Andrews Beach is the only beach on the island that offers visitors a sunset view!
  • Limited parking available. Bike racks available.

Driftwood Beach

  • Wander in awe among the ancient driftwood trees of Driftwood Beach with you picnic lunch. Continuously voted among the most iconic beaches in the United States, Driftwood Beach offers visitors the most beautiful background for a wonderful meal on Jekyll Island.
  • Limited parking available along the road. No bike racks, but bikes can be parked at the beginning of the path.

Horton House

  • Being the second oldest building in the state of Georgia, the Horton House stands tall as one of the oldest tabby buildings in the United States. The historic building is surrounded by wooded areas with hiking trails scattered throughout the forest making for a perfect after lunch activity.
  • Limited parking lot available on site. Located just off the bike trail heading North on the island.

Villa Mariana At Jekyll Resort.

Villa Mariana Under the Live Oaks

  • Located just past Cherokee, take your picnic over to Villa Mariana. Relax under the expanse live oak in front of the Villa while listening to the fountain. This historic cottage is great for a photo opportunity as well.
  • Parking is available on Faith Chapel. Guests can walk to Villa Mariana.
