Water Activities

With 10 miles of grand, unspoiled shoreline and a variety of water fun to be had, Jekyll Island is the perfect place to relax and refresh the senses. Lounge poolside at the Jekyll Island Club Resort or Jekyll Ocean Club, spend the afternoon in the sun and sand on the Island’s uncrowded beaches, or discover exciting family attractions amid the peace and serenity of the Island.

BEACHES

Fun and discovery stretch the length of Jekyll Island’s nine miles of unspoiled beaches. Search for sand dollars, watch for dolphins, build a sandcastle, or simply relax. From the spectacular beauty of Driftwood Beach, to the dunes just outside of Jekyll Ocean Club, the Island's beaches are among the most beautiful on the eastern seaboard. Complimentary shuttle service is provided for Jekyll Island Club Resorts guests.

RESORT POOLS

Located near the river's edge, the Jekyll Island Club pool, complimented by food and beverage service from seasonal restaurant The Pool House, is idea for swimmers and loungers alike. Resort guests can also take the complimentary shuttle over to Jekyll Ocean Club to relax at their new oversized pool next to the ocean. Complimentary shuttle service is provided for Jekyll Island Club Resorts guests.

WATER PARK

Summer Waves Water Park features exciting waterslides, a large wave pool, and lazy river, making it the perfect place for a day of family fun in the sun. Complimentary shuttle service is provided for Jekyll Island Club Resorts guests.

TIDELANDS NATURE CENTER

Fish on the 17-acre Rixen Pond stocked with saltwater fish. Rent a canoe or stand up paddleboard. Take a guided kayak tour for views of Jekyll Island's tidal creeks where you may see herons, egrets, wood storks, diving pelicans, fiddler crabs, and dolphins, as well as the occasional manatee. Tideland's guides are experienced naturalists who will share the secrets of the ecology of this fascinating environment.

TURTLE TIDES

Located in front of the Jekyll Island Club Resort at the historic Jekyll Island Wharf Marina, Turtle Tides is a locally owned and operated watersport company that offers guided tours, rental equipment and delivery/pick-up services. Rent kayaks, paddleboards, and water bikes, or embark on a guided tour.
