Spring is one of our favorite seasons on Jekyll Island, not just because the temperatures get warmer and the days get longer, but also because the island becomes abuzz with activities, events, and more.
First on the spring awakenings is The Pool House at Jekyll Island Club Resort reopening for the season. On Saturday, March 3rd, The Pool House will resume daily dining and bar hours so you can enjoy a bite to eat and plenty of cold beverages while relaxing poolside.
The Wharf is ready to soak up all the sunny weather with live music every Thursday- Sunday, beginning the first weekend in March. Check out the live music line-up and hours on our event calendar.
Continuing with the live music theme, Corsair Kitchen & Bar at the Jekyll Ocean Club will be bringing back weekend entertainment beginning March 2nd. They offer live music every Friday and Saturday night from 6-9pm.
As the days grow warmer, guests are also welcomed to head to the Jekyll Ocean Club for complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas. With full time set-up service beginning in early March, you and the whole family can relax on the beach all day and soak up all the warm weather. Head inside to Corsair for lunch, drinks or a light snack during the day, or take a break from sun and sand up and grab a seat at the oceanfront pool.
The 44th Annual Arts Festival is returning to Goodyear Cottage March 9 - 11 and Jekyll Island Club Resort will be providing all the food and drinks. The Arts Festival is a shopping mecca for all art lovers, with wall art, pottery, textile pieces and more available for sale by the artists, plus pieces on display are available in the Goodyear Cottage’s showroom. The Arts Association will also have demonstrations by weavers, carvers, painters and potters going on during the festival, so you can get your hands messy too.
The Jekyll Island Club Resorts still have availability for either of these event-filled weekends in March, so you still can come check out the country’s largest and most nationally recognized cars and coffee event or go on an early Easter Egg Hunt through the National Historic Landmark District.
Come April, you can celebrate Easter with two of our favorite Easter traditions: a sunrise beach church service, followed by brunch.
For those who want to begin their Easter Sunday at church, the island offers a unique twist on the service. The Easter Sunrise Service is put on by all ministers that serve on Jekyll Island and is held on the beach in front of the Great Dunes Park where there’s an amazing view of the sunrise. The service starts at 6:30am, with the sunrise set for 7:14am. Guests are welcome to bring folding chairs or blankets to sit on.
Leave from the beach service or change into your Easter best for our annual Easter Brunch. The Grand Dining Room, Crane Cottage and Corsair Kitchen & Bar are all hosting an upgraded brunch buffet. For reservations in the Grand Dining Room or at Crane Cottage, call Lynn Lee at 912-635-5121; for reservations at Corsair Kitchen & Bar, call 912-635-5238. All brunch menus are $49.95 for adults and 24.95 for children under 12.
Following Easter, you can catch the annual Shell-e-brate Spring Festival April 5-6 at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center and the inaugural Jekyll Book Festival April 7. Both festivals are great for children of all ages.
Whatever type of spring getaway you are craving, you can experience it here at the Jekyll Island Club Resorts!
